Wave Volleyball Club was founded out of a father's newfound love for volleyball and his desire to spend quality time with his daughter. This passion has grown into a mission to create a welcoming and supportive environment for young girls to develop their volleyball skills and build lasting friendships.
At Wave Volleyball Club, we believe in the power of sports to inspire and transform. Our goal is to help each player reach her full potential both on and off the court. We provide top-notch coaching, fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence in every practice and game.
Join us and ride the wave of growth, fun, and achievement!

Bella has been surrounded by volleyball her entire life. With both parents as coaches, she was introduced to the sport at just two years old and has been passionate about it ever since. She began playing competitive indoor volleyball at age 11 and expanded into competitive beach volleyball by 15.
Throughout her club career, she competed with top programs including Union and PNK, gaining high-level experience and training. In high school, she was a four-year varsity athlete and earned MVP and All-District Team honors every season.
Bella went on to play collegiate Division 1 beach volleyball at Morehead State University, where she was nominated for OVC Freshman of the Year. During her sophomore year, she competed in both indoor and beach volleyball before transferring to Eastern Kentucky University, where she finished her collegiate career as a dedicated beach volleyball athlete.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and currently works at Total Quality Logistics (TQL). As a coach, she is committed to developing her athletes both on and off the court, focusing on fundamentals, teamwork, and a love for the game. Her lifelong involvement in volleyball brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to every team she coaches.
Liz has been passionate about volleyball for over 12 years. She began her career at Daviess County High School, where she was named to the All-District Team in both 2019 and 2020, and in 2021 earned All-District and All-Region honors. During that time, she also competed at the club level with Southern Kentucky Elite Volleyball Academy.
Liz went on to play four years at Lindsey Wilson University, where she built an impressive collegiate career. She was named Second Team All Mid-South Conference in 2024 and was a three-time Mid-South Conference All-Academic Team selection (2022, 2023, 2024). Over her career, she recorded 560 kills and 125 blocks, making her a consistent contributor on the court.
After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in December 2024, Liz joined Wave Volleyball as a coach in March. She is excited to share her knowledge, skills, and love for the game with the next generation of players.
Coach Bob Dunn will be leading Wave 16 Tsunami this season alongside his longtime friend, Andrew Mullins. His journey into coaching began through his youngest daughter, Chesney, whose love for volleyball and inspiring coaches sparked his own passion for the game. Since then, Bob has dedicated himself to helping players grow both on and off the court.
Bob’s school coaching career includes time at Noe Middle School, two years as head coach at PRP High School, three years as head coach at Meade County High School, and he is currently in his fifth year as assistant coach at Ballard High School.
On the club side, Bob’s coaching experience spans more than a decade. He began 12 years ago by founding Louisville Fusion Volleyball in southwest Louisville. Two years later, he moved on to coach at a larger club in the city, where he spent nine successful years coaching 15 Travel. Now, he is excited for the new opportunity to coach at Wave and continue making an impact with young athletes.
Bob believes in building a love for the game while teaching life lessons through volleyball. His coaching philosophy is best summed up in two quotes he often shares with his players:
“Don’t let anyone want it more for you than you want it for yourself.”
“Make it fun. Players always perform better when they enjoy what they are doing.”
Coach Gentry Quehl has been involved in volleyball for 11 years and brings both playing and coaching experience to Wave. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, she competed as a four-year collegiate defensive specialist/libero at Johnson University, where she graduated in 2023.
Before joining Wave, Gentry gained coaching experience with Club Unite and quickly discovered her passion for helping athletes grow on and off the court. She is dedicated to empowering young women through the game and creating an environment where players can build confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy competing.
Gentry is excited to be part of the Wave family and looks forward to investing in her athletes this season.
